Shout out to my wife and baby for trekking out for my third speaking engagement in 3 weeks. I know it’s a lot of work for Carmen Pat to manage the baby while I’m speaking and talking with people at church but she does it with endurance and joy. That’s why I went out today and got the greatest gifts ever for them. Cherries for Carmen and a new toy for Jeremiah Pat 😆

My father doesn’t know who his father is. That’s affected him his entire life and it affects mine too. When I think about my baby boy, I think about our family legacy up to this point. At what point do we finally experience healing and at what point do we finally make a break with the past? When the Bible talks about family, we need to listen. We are looking to Jesus for spiritual answers that have a very real impact on our everyday lives. I’ll be preaching about this topic on Sunday at Harvest. Hope to see you there!

First time preaching with Jeremiah in tow. Thankful for Carmen Pat who was willing to solo parent for 4 hours and churches that are family friendly. It was hard getting out of the house in the morning but at least we we now know what to expect. We gotta prep breakfast early and have everything set up the night before. We can’t be rushed in the morning or else it is just madness.

For a few months, I get to bring my son into worship and trust that God is loving and teaching him. Knowing God is not about his intellect or maturity, we are solely relying on the Holy Spirit. His faith will be from God and for God.
