Whenever I look at the speakers for Christian conferences I notice how few of them are Asian, Latino or Black. There’s 2 ways to look at this issue. Either Christians of racial minorities aren’t being invited to speak at large conferences or there are fewer Christians from minority backgrounds leading prominent ministries. I think the latter is true.
I am encouraged by people like Francis Chan, Luis Palau and Thabiti Anyabwile because they are bringing new perspectives and blending new cultural experiences into the Christian world. I pray that we might see God raise up new leaders among racial minorities so that the Body of Christ may better represent the vastness of God’s glory.
I stumbled across this blog for Black Reformed Churches. It’s good times.
